Lodhi Gardens – Heritage Walk

Here’s a video blog of our walk across The LODHI GARDENS, New Delhi, India.

The film showcases the various historical monuments located at the garden with the walk-leader explaining the architecture and also the history of the Lodhi and Syyed Dynasties (Sayyid Dynasty) and the British rule in India. The complete film is split into 5 parts and each part has been named aptly as Part 1of5, Part 2of5..and so on. The sequenced playlist is embedded below.

The monuments/places of interest showcased in this 5 part video series are as follows- Mohammad Shah Sayyid’s Tomb, Khaerpur village, Sikander Lodhi’s Tomb, Sheesh Gumbad, Bada Gumbad (The Big Dome), Bada Gumbad Masjid (The Big Dome Mosque), Butterfly conservatory, other Architectural works of the Sayyids and Lodhis from the 15th century.
