Music is a language that transcends words, cultures, and boundaries. Recently, I had the privilege of curating a very special Indian music workshop at Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Delhi, for a group of international musicians visiting India.
The session was led by my wife, who is also a dedicated musician and teacher. She introduced the participants to the beauty of an Indian Raaga, taught through a devotional chant. The simplicity of one Raaga became the doorway to experiencing the richness of Indian classical music.
What made the evening magical was the way the international musicians responded. They joined in wholeheartedly — singing along, playing their instruments, and weaving their own musical traditions into the Raaga. I accompanied on guitar and vocals, helping bridge the sounds of East and West.
The Ashram’s serene atmosphere provided the perfect setting for this confluence of traditions. What emerged was not just a workshop but a celebration — of devotion, learning, and global harmony through music.

For me, this event was a reminder that while I work in the corporate world, music remains my passion project and a bridge to connect with people globally. Whether in a classroom, an ashram, or online, the essence of Indian Raagas continues to inspire and unite.
