Jashn Hai Zindagi

After the awesome visit to Ranthambhore Fort and the Tiger reserve we headed towards the nearby villages outside the Fort complex – Khiljipur and Sherpur. We explored some lesser known ruins and old structures like gateways, step wells, medieval places of worship etc here. Also, we met the locals there who welcomed us with warmth and befriended so many children there who followed us throughout the walk 🙂 Despite the poverty and lack of basic amenities the local seemed to be really loving and caring…and the kids also happily gave us tangy dried raw-mangoes to relish 🙂 After the village visit we also went to a nearby graveyard complex of sorts that seemed to be the royal graveyard since medieval times. There have been some restoration work done there but most of the structures are yet to be identified in terms if exact dates and people associated with them.
