This temple is believed to be a 10th Century Shiva temple owing to the grand statues of Nandi at the entrance. The interiors comprise of beautifully carved sculptures depicting stories from the Puranas and several other mythological epics. Later in the 19th century the temple was fortified by the Jat Ranas rulers thereby giving it a local name as “Garhi” which means a small fort/fortress! Yet again , amazing experience here 🙂
