Qutub Minar, Smith’s Folly and Sanderson’s Sundial :)

In the final episode from the Qutub Complex, we bring to you the very famous..mighty..standing tall..the Qutub Minar. 72 meters in height, this is the tallest brick minaret in the world!

Qutub Minar, along with the ancient and medieval monuments surrounding it, form the Qutub Complex, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Alai Darwaza and Imam Zamin’s tomb

The Alai Darwaza is the main gateway from southern side of the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque. It was built by the second Khilji Sultan of Delhi, Ala-ud-din Khilji in 1311 AD. It is considered to be one of the most important buildings built in the Delhi sultanate period. With its pointed arches and spearhead of fringes, identified as lotus buds, it adds grace to the Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque to which it served as an entrance.
